What’s the Difference Between the INFINITI Q50 & Q60?

With similar names, you may be wondering what sets two of INFINITI’s models apart. When it comes to the INFINITI Q50 and INFINITI Q60 — what’s the difference? Is one “better” than the other?

The biggest difference between the two is that the Q50 is a sedan and the Q60 is a coupe. Right off the bat, you may be able to choose one over the other based on your preference.

When it comes to purchasing a new car, price is surely one of the primary factors, and the Q50 starts at $36,600 while the Q60 starts at $41,650.

Performance and Design

The base models of the Q50 and Q60 share the same exact engine setup: a 300-hp 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, so you should be getting close, if not identical outputs in terms of performance. It should be noted that the Q60 lighter than the Q50, which could contribute to differing performance as well.

The Q60 also features a front and rear “Zero-Lift” aerodynamic design that can help increase the vehicle’s directional stability at higher speeds.

Both models feature INFINITI Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, starting with the base model. The Q50 also offers five different trim level options: Pure, Luxe, Sensory, Signature Edition and Red Sport 400. The Q60 features three: Pure, Luxe and Red Sport 400.

As far as tires go, the base model of the Q50 features 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season performance run-flat tires while the base model of the Q60 features 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

Technology and Safety Features

Both the Q50 and Q60 feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto programs, allowing you to seamlessly integrate your smartphone to your INFINITI of choice. Each model also has INFINITI InTouch with Wi-Fi Hotspot that enables you to connect seven Wi-Fi enabled devices at a time.

The two models share multiple safety features as well: Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Prevention and Active Lane Control, Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection and more.
